VCard QR Code

Create a QR code that saves your contact details straight to a phone.

How to Use VCard QR Code

  1. Fill in your name, company and phone number. Job title, email and website are optional.
  2. Include your country code in the phone number, such as +91 or +44.
  3. Check the preview and download the PNG.
  4. Scan it with your own phone to make sure the contact saves correctly.

What happens when someone scans it

The code holds a vCard, the standard contact format used by iPhone, Android, Outlook and Gmail. Scanning it with the phone camera opens a screen to save the contact with all fields filled in, so nobody has to type your number or spell your email.

Fields you leave empty are left out of the card, and commas or semicolons in a company name are escaped so they don't split the field. The more you fill in, the denser the pattern gets; a name, phone, email and website stay easy to scan even at business card size.

Printing tips

Print the code at least 2 cm (about 0.8 inches) wide and keep a white margin around it. The download is 600 x 600 pixels, which is sharp at that size. Because your details are stored in the code itself, it can't be edited after printing: if your number changes, make a new one.

Everything is generated in your browser, so your contact details aren't uploaded or stored.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does a vCard QR code work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. Both read vCard codes with the built-in camera and offer to save the contact.

Can I add more than one phone number?

Not in this tool; it has one phone field, which is saved as a mobile number.

Can I change my details after printing?

No. The details are inside the code, so a change means a new code.

Is my information stored?

No. The code is made in your browser and nothing is sent to a server.
