How to Use Date Difference Calculator

Should you include the end date?
By default the tool counts the gap between the dates: from Monday to Friday is 4 days. If you're counting days that something happens on, like a hotel stay's nights versus a conference's days, you may want both ends counted, which makes Monday to Friday 5 days. Ticking Include end date adds that one day.
The weeks figure is whole weeks only, so 10 days shows as 1 week.
Years, months and days
The breakdown counts complete calendar years, then complete months, then leftover days, the same way you'd describe an age. When the start date is late in a month, moving it forward a month lands on the last day of a shorter month: 31 January plus one month is 28 February, so 31 January to 1 March is 1 month and 1 day. The total days figure is always exact; leap days are included.
