How to Use Stopwatch Timer
Press Start.
Press Lap to record a lap without stopping the clock.
Press Pause to stop, then Resume to carry on from the same time.
Press Reset while paused to clear the time and laps.
Laps and splits
Each lap shows two times: the lap time, how long that lap took on its own, and the total time since you started. The newest lap is at the top. This makes it easy to compare laps on a running track or spot which step of a task took longest.
The display shows minutes, seconds and hundredths, and adds hours once you pass 60 minutes.
Accurate in the background
Browsers slow down page timers in tabs you aren't looking at. Instead of counting ticks, this stopwatch reads the device clock, so the time stays correct if you switch tabs, lock your phone briefly or open another app. Closing or reloading the page does reset it, as nothing is saved.
